Jacob Cecil is working full time while running for State Senate, because the working class deserve a say.

I am Jacob Cecil, a 27 year old working class member of our community. I live in Somerset county, and work in Bedford county. I am working full time, including mandatory overtime, while I run for state senate. I believe the working class should be governed by the working class, the people who really understand and care about what our communities need.

I decided to run when I learned Pat Stefano would be running for his fourth term unopposed, and would win by default. I don't believe anybody should be elected by default, and I couldn't believe the working class wasn't going to have the chance to vote for someone who experiences and understands the cost of living crisis in our community. The working class deserves the chance to vote for someone passionate who understands and cares about the real issues in our communities, so I decided to step up.

I feel strongly that until the working class has the opportunity to elect someone who experiences and understands the real challenges in our community, we will not be able to make the significant improvements our community so desperately needs and deserves.

Working together we can build up and invest in our communities and people, instead of arguing about superficial differences. We all have far more in common than those that seek to profit off dividing us wish us to believe.
